CHE Dept Chair Awarded BPI-DOST Most Outstanding Alumnus

Engr. Maria Leah Flor A. De Castro, Chair of the Chemical Engineering Department of the AdDU School of Engineering and Architecture, was chosen as one of the three recipients of the Most Outstanding Alumnus award in the 30th BPI-DOST Science Awards held last August 2, 2019 at The City Club, Makati City.

The BPI-DOST Science Awards recognizes 30 outstanding science and technology students from partner universities from all over the country every year. On its 30th year of supporting young Filipino scientists and innovators, the national competition adopts the theme “Moving the Nation towards Sustainable Development through Science and Innovation.”

The BPI-DOST Science Awards Most Outstanding Alumni awardees are (in photo, from left to right) Engr. This is the first time in the history of the Awards that it has given recognition to past student awardees.

BPI-DOST Science Awards is organized by BPI Foundation Inc., the corporate social responsibility arm of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
