Robolympics 2019 Showcases Robotics from Young Minds

Senior high school and college students from various Davao schools came together to showcase their robotics skills in Robolympics 2019, hosted by the Ateneo de Davao University School of Engineering and Architecture (AdDU-SEA) together with the Computer Science cluster.

Held on February 28 and March 1, the activity kicked off with an opening ceremony by the Dean of the School of Engineering & Architecture Dr. Randell Espina. The event was also graced by Mr. Stony Freires (Information Technology Department Chairperson) and Dr. Ryan Jeung.

Highlights of the two-day event include Obstacle Avoidance Course, Line-Following Challenge, Obstacle Course Loop, and Robowars — all of which made use of Lego Mindstorms and Arduino technologies.

Brainworks School, Inc. grabbed the Robowars championship while the Ateneo college robotics team took second place. Also present during the event were the student delegates from AMA Computer College.
