AdDU-SEA research engineers recently conducted a demonstration of a 5-kWp Biomass Gasification Power System to TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapena in Banay-Banay, Davao Oriental.
Local biomass feedstock (forest, agriculture, and/or community wastes) was used to fuel the gasoline generator to produce electricity.
The study, funded by the Ateneo de Davao University, was aimed at helping people in remote communities generate and use clean and cheap electricity.
