ADDU SAS and SEA Welcome Collaborators from Tamkang University, Taiwan

On May 6, 2024, Ateneo de Davao University welcomed guests from Tamkang University, Taipei, Taiwan, and explored avenues of collaboration with the ADDU School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) and School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA).

Among the delegates from Tamkang University are educators from their Physics Department: Professor Cheng-Hao Chuang, Department Head of Physics, and Professor Ping-Hung Yeh. In the morning discussions, the guests met the University President, Fr. Karel San Juan, SJ, alongside Fr. Tony Basilio, SJ, Rector of the Davao Jesuit Community and Faculty Member of the Chemistry Department.

Professors Chuang and Professor Yeh also had an in-depth discussion with the faculty members of SAS and SEA under the guidance of their respective Deans, Dr. Rey Pilapil and Engr. Randell Espina, Ph.D., at the Pakighinabi Room, 3rd floor, Community Center of the First Companions Building.

Tamkang University has showcased a range of programs and research that interest our Engineering and Natural Sciences Department. ADDU anticipates further engagements with Tamkang University, especially in terms of global internships, research collaborations, and opportunities for further studies for ADDU faculty and students.
