The AdDU Rocketry Team clinched 1st place at the Malaysia Rocket Cansat Competition (MRC), held on September 3, 2025, in Perak, Malaysia.
The AdDU Rocketry Team’s rocket “Pompano” performed outstandingly for its debut as the only competitor from the Philippines among 65 other teams.
The Pompano rocket’s 100-cm build was also the only successful parachute in the University Category 2.
The team is composed of students Avery Clyde Dimasuhid (Cansat and Lead), Derick Jhon Garay (Structures), Clarence James Valenzuela (Structures), Fritzie Mae Maniquez (Cansat), Carlos Leo Panelo (Recovery), and their supervisor, Aerospace Engineering faculty member Wilfredo Pardorla Jr.
