Engr. Jason Occidental, faculty member of the Computer Engineering Department of AdDU School of Engineering and Architecture, is one of the 10 winners of the Youth Sustainable Project (YSUP) Competition 2024 by the Delegation of the European Union to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, for his team’s project “Resource Assessment of Potential Alternative Sources of Energy for Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas in Mindanao,” funded by the Department of Science and Technology – National Research Council of the Philippines.
The YSUP competition received 152 entries coming from the different ASEAN countries for projects ranging from climate and energy, circular economy, mental health, digital technology, education, and more.
All winners gained access to a series of mentorship on EU-ASEAN Green Business Landscape and Project Communications.
